The Gifted Educational Support team consists of specialists who have focused on the education of gifted and talented children.
Barbara Klein, Ph.D., Ed.D., is a specialist on the development of gifted children. She has written numerous books and articles on development and child psychology. Her latest book, “Raising Gifted Kids: Everything You Need to Know to Help Your Exceptional child Thrive,” focuses on the education and development of gifted children. She has a practice located in Westwood exclusively for the psychological assessment, counseling, and therapy of gifted children and their parents. Currently she leads two separate parenting groups on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Narbik Manukian, Ph.D., is a physicist with years of experience in research and teaching in the fields of physics and mathematics to students from elementary school to college level. He is currently involved in tutoring and teaching mathematics to children. He has just organized mathematics enrichment classes for elementary school children that will be offered starting this spring at the Cowan Avenue Elementary Gifted Magnet in Westchester, in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Roz Fleishman, M.A., M.F.C.C., has been a teacher of gifted children K-12 for 43 years. She has taught in Europe,, Watts, Culver City, and Beverly Hills Unified School District. She has also worked in conjunction with Dr. Barbara Klein.
Paul Macirowski, B.A., was a psychology and education editor in New York City for two decades. He is a freelance editor and writer.
